Official play Record: 7th out of 30 in Neon Group
Awards: Michigan District Chairman's Award
Brief years summary:
After a very trying year due to Covid-19 we had to put the pieces back together and do meetings and builds remotely. Going into our competition week that was very different from any other year our whole team had to quarantine with the exception of our three coaches and one student whom luckily was a part of our drive team. After altering the program so our one driver could control everything on our robot, we put up some respectable scores for our at home competition. We ended the at home competition in 7th in the Neon Group. Our Chairman's team continued to practice via Zoom and received the one of the 25 spots as District Chairman Winners for the second year!

Official play Record: 13-19
Awards: Muskegon District 3rd place finish
Kentwood District Imagery Award
Brief years summary:
Making a midseason decision to switch to swerve drive only slowed us up for a brief time during the build season. We got our bot ready to compete at our home event at the Muskegon District. We were 2nd pick of the number 4 alliance captain and made a run deep into the playoff rounds. Ultimately taking 3rd place in the competition and falling to the number 1 alliance who won the whole competition.
At the Kentwood District we were 1st pick of the number 8th alliance but the Fighting Mantis did not have enough fight left in it to make it very far in the playoff rounds.

CMU District Alliance 6 captain
Brief years summary:
This year was a rebuilding year for our coaching and mentor staff but the students still produced a very nice and competitive bot. We were 1st pick by the #8 alliance captain at the Muskegon District and we were awarded the Imagery Award at both of our District competitions. At the CMU District we ranked the highest we ever had in team history as the 8th ranked team and became the #6 Alliance captain. Unfortiantly we couldn't make up enough points to qualify for the State Championship.
